MOBILE PRIVACY NOTICE FOR IMPALA KIT VERIFY

INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Notice describes Pfizer, Inc.’s practices in connection with the personal data collected through the Impala Kit Verify Application (the “App”), the choices you have regarding the treatment of your personal data. Pfizer Japan Inc. and its affiliates (hereinafter referred to as "Pfizer” or “Company") hereby declare that the Company will comply with laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal data and other standards concerning the protection of personal data, and that it will establish voluntary rules and systems in consideration of international trends, and that it will implement and maintain the Personal Information Protection Policy (https://www.pfizer.co.jp/pfizer/privacy/index.html: Pfizer Japan’s privacy policy website). Affiliates shall be defined as any legal entity directly or indirectly controlled by Pfizer established under Japanese law.

PERSONAL DATA

We may collect Personal Data in various ways from you, others and through the App.

We may obtain Personal Data when [you and/or] our clinical personnel use the App, including:

• Protocol numbers, site IDs, container bar codes
• Scans of the drug assignment confirmation report

Data Collected Automatically

We use tracking technologies so that we can understand how the App is used, optimize user engagement with the App and customize and enhance your experience. We may also use the data collected to deliver personalized services to you. These technologies collect certain data automatically, such as:

• Data about your device, such as your information about your device and device capabilities, session ID, screen resolution, operating system, your activities on the App and information about how you use it, Wi-Fi, device manufacturer and model, and language. We use this data to ensure that the App functions properly and as described below.
• Data about your use of the App, including content viewed, features used and the dates and times of your interactions with the App. We use this data to understand how users engage with the App, to customize and improve the App experience and as described below.

We use third-party services that use cookies, SDKs and/or similar tracking technologies to collect and analyze data about App use and to report on activities and trends as described below.

Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms

We and our third-party service providers collect and use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to track information about your use of our Services.

Tags and Other Technologies. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your device, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on app pages. We may use clear tags, in connection with our Services to, among other things, track the activities of visitors, help us manage content, and compile statistics about usage.

Third Party Analytics. We use automated devices and applications, such as Adobe Analytics, to evaluate usage of our App. We use these tools to help us improve the performance of our App, services, and user experiences. HOW WE USE PERSONAL DATA

We use Personal Data in order to:

• Provide the App’s functionality, operate our business and fulfill your requests, including:
  • To manage the App’s operation, facilitate access to and use of the App, create accounts or provide service.
  • To respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests, such as to send alerts.
  • To identify usage or performance trends in our Apps and analyze the effectiveness of our communications
  • To complete your transaction
  • To send administrative information to you, such as information regarding the App and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies
  • To facilitate communication, information and social sharing or login functionality.
• Provide and measure personalized content or services, including:
  • To better understand you and personalize our interactions with you
  • To analyze or predict our users’ preferences
  • To participate in programs and services
  • To develop new products and services and enhance, improve, or modify our products and services
  • To understand, analyze, and measure how you use the App and help diagnose problems
• Comply with our legal obligations, including:
  • To conduct data analysis and audits
  • To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, including security monitoring and prevention.
  • To validate your ability to access or use certain products or services.
  • To better understand how our products and services impact you and others.

YOUR CHOICES AND DATA RIGHTS

• You may stop all collection of data by the App by uninstalling the App.
• You may be able to change app notifications through your App or device settings.
• If you would like to request to review, correct, update, suppress, restrict or delete Personal Data that you have provided to us through the App, or if you would like to request to receive an electronic copy of such Personal Data, you may contact us at Contact Us below. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law.

In your request, please tell us what Personal Data you would like to have changed or otherwise let us know what limitations you would like to put on the use of it. For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Data associated with the Personal Data that we have about you, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. Please note that we may need to retain certain Personal Data for recordkeeping or legal purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or deletion.

DATA SECURITY

We have implemented reasonable precautions to protect the Personal Data we collect. Please be aware that despite our efforts, no data security measures can guarantee security. You should take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your password or devices by, among other things, signing off after using a shared device, choosing a robust, unique password that nobody else knows or can easily guess, and keeping your log-in and password private. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or compromised passwords or for any activity on your account via unauthorized password activity.

RETENTION PERIOD

We will retain your Personal Data for as long as needed or permitted in light of the purpose(s) for which it was obtained and as outlined in this Privacy Notice. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include: the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide the App to you; whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject; or whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position (such as in regard to the enforcement of the App Terms of Use, applicable statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations).

CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER

The data we collect through the App may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers. If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom or elsewhere outside of the United States, information that we collect (including through cookies) will be processed and stored in the United States, a jurisdiction in which the data protection and privacy laws may not offer the same level of protection as those in the country where you reside or are a citizen. Where necessary under applicable law, we may employ appropriate cross-border transfer methods governing Personal Data.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

This Privacy Notice does not address, and we are not responsible for, the data collection, use, disclosure or security practices, or other practices, of any third party, including any third party operating a service to which the App links. The inclusion of a link within the App does not imply our endorsement of the linked service. Except as otherwise provided in the Restriction on Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties, we do not provide personal data to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the person.

NOTICE CONCERNING CHILDREN

The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children. If you are under the relevant age of consent in your jurisdiction, you will need your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to use the App. Please consult with your parent or legal guardian before installing the App.
